This year, on its tenth anniversary, Music on the Terrace is bigger and better than ever—with a new location and five Fridays of free live concerts. To celebrate a decade of success, Music on the Terrace will take place at the Carroll Creek Park Amphitheater across the creek from the C. Burr Artz Public Library. Concerts begin at 11:30 am and end at 1:30 pm, with Rita’s Italian Ice providing complimentary sweet treats. Brewer’s Alley joins in the fun this year with light lunch fare for sale to concert-goers. Of course, you’re welcome to bring your own picnic and a blanket—or just come out and enjoy the tunes on a fall afternoon.

September 2 – Mary Ann Redmond

This Washington-based singer/songwriter has wow power, and plenty of it.

Winner of 14 WAMMIES for her soul-stirring blues, jazz, and roots rock,

she’s in a league of her own.

September 9 – The Blue Rhythm Boys

and John Previti (upright bass) bring authenticity and originality to their own

smoky mix of hot jazz, hokum, and country blues.

September 16 – King Teddy

This award-winning, Washington-area band delivers a lively dose of

1940s-inspired music. It’s swing for the modern age!

September 23 – Mr. Jon and Friends

Jon Lewis (known as Mr. Jon to his FCPL fans) and his band perform lively,

kid-pleasing music on Fair Day (Frederick County Public Schools closed).

September 30 – Kelly Bell Band

Baltimore-area band—voted “Best Blues Band” in the mid-Atlantic region
